Futuristic Fashion Moment Reminding Zendaya’s Archive Fashion

Zendaya showed off her boldest look yet at the world premiere of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” in London. He made a futuristic statement on the red carpet in his iconic metal robot costume from Thierry Mugler’s ‘Cirque d’hiver’ fall 1995 couture collection.

The 27-year-old actress, who plays Chani, is the galactic partner and love interest of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) in this out-of-this-world film series; created its own science fiction fantasy in its world premiere.

Mugler’s robot costume was created in collaboration with artist Jean-Jacques Urcun, who developed new techniques to realize the designer’s vision. The suit featured plexiglass cutouts along its chrome frame.

The robot costume, unveiled on the catwalk during Mugler’s 25th anniversary show in Paris in 1995, was inspired by the Futura character in Thea von Harbou’s 1925 novel “Metropolis” and took six months to make.

The robot costume was part of the Brooklyn Museum’s “Thierry Mugler: Couturissime” exhibition in New York in 2022. A special version of the piece, created by Casey Cadwallader, was worn by Beyoncé during her “Renaissance World Tour” in June 2023.

Its silver appearance really attracts attention; She complemented it with an equally stunning Bulgari necklace adorned with a cluster of sapphires and diamonds, including a brilliant blue center stone worth a whopping 28 carats alone.

The “Euphoria” star kept her makeup simple and natural, and wore her hair pulled back in a bun to keep the focus on her iconic metal robot design, which she achieved with the help of her stylist Law Roach.

Although she made a grand entrance with her statement look, the Emmy winner wore a simple black dress shortly after her appearance.

She looked gorgeous in a tight Mugler dress, accessorized with vintage Bulgari jewelry by Joseph Saidian and Sons, including a pair of diamond earrings and a $110,000 10.64-carat emerald ring surrounded by diamonds.

Zendaya, who has been announced as the co-chair of the 2024 Met Gala to be held on May 6, has been able to dazzle on the red carpets at the “Dune” press event in recent weeks.

Zendaya was joined by Chalamet, who reflected his silver energy with his Haider Ackermann trousers with metal chain embroidery and his Cartier necklace set consisting of more than 900 precious stones. According to the brand’s press release, it was inspired by the film’s desert landscape and the blue-eyed Fremen character.

Also in attendance was surprise guest Anya Taylor-Joy, who confirmed her role in the second installment of the film franchise in a space-nun-worthy white Dior Haute Couture gown with a sheer veil that allowed her face (and striking red lips) to wiggle.

Florence Pugh also got into this spirit with her special Valentino sequin dress with a sparkling hoodie.
